What makes online games special is the fact that you can meet other people, play together and form permanent teams or guilds. The best part is that a lot of things can happen in a guild. To help people keep track of all the events, Guilded lets them create a home for their guilds. Players can leave messages, post events on a calendar, chat in real time and more.

The software is absolutely free and you can start using it right away, because it doesn't need to be installed. Its components are distributed in a ZIP archive, so you only need to extract them and run an executable. The hardware requirements are modest and you don't have to install any special tools or services.

Guilded's user interface resembles an IRC client, but everything is oriented towards guilds in online games. Private channels can be created for individual teams or guilds, with just a few clicks. All you have to do is specify the group's name and the game you play with them. Once you do this, the application will create a group and it will assign the game's icon to that group automatically. Additionally, Guilded will give you access to a public chatroom dedicated to that game.

Created teams and public channels are listed on the left side of the user interface. Contacts can be found on the right side and you can chat with everyone or in private in the central region of the window. You can communicate with your team mates via text messages, to which you can attach images and GIFs.

Besides creating a private channel for your team, Guilded creates a web page as well. Here you can do much more than chatting. You can post events on a calendar, upload documents and multimedia files, manage members of the team and much more. You will also receive notifications when someone wishes to join your team or when something important happens. If you are recruiting, Guilded will generate a convenient team application URL, which you can copy to the clipboard instantly.

Guilded gives you and your team mates a home, regardless of what online game you play.

Pros

The application lets you create private chatrooms for guilds from any online game. Additionally, the software creates an online page, where you can manage all sorts of guild affairs.

Cons

You can't delete the teams you create. Also, the user interface has no close and minimize buttons.
